AFTERNOON: Saturday, after morning, before lunch. waking up, blinds closed. sun beam patterns on the floor. sounds on the street. people moving, back and forth, cars passing, back and forth. back and forth, back and forth….

Afternoon was an experiment with audio and video captured live to produce abstract visuals. It employs a dv-camera (microphone and camera) and laptop set up to create a feedback loop. Sounds are captured from the streets of Paris while the camera videos it’s own video feed on the laptop screen. The resulting 5 x 5 pixel video was later transformed into a 50 x 50 pixel video and is presented online resized in html to 500 x 500 pixels.
