
Some more student work, Kokoro, which means the heart of things in Japanese, (image above, videos below) by Anaid Gomez is a wearable iPod accessory which interfaces with the users body to allow music to be selected and played based on the users heart rate to match the context in which they are listening to the music (more images here and more videos here).
kokoro has 3 modes:
default mode: it plays music that is at your same heart rate level.
+ mode: it finds music that is one level higher than your current heart rate level.
- mode: it finds music that is one level lower than your current heart rate.
Above is a demonstration of how the device works and below is an interview of a number of students from ITP showing their work which features Kororo.
