Social Murmurs

Social Murmurs (image above, video below) by Kyle Philips is a socially-aware portable bench surface built using Processing and Arduino:

As visitors sit on the bench sounds are produced demonstrating, or sometimes dictating their emotions. This project developed out of an interest in reactions from others in varying degrees of personal space while in a public setting.
